The Classic Range Rover 2-Door Gets an Electrifying Upgrade

Introduction to Inverted’s Electric Conversion

Inverted, a company specializing in electric conversions for classic cars, has taken on a unique project – a 1990 Range Rover 2-Door. Despite its unconventional choice for electrification, the results are impressive.

Powerful Performance

The Range Rover now boasts a custom-made battery pack with Tesla modules and a powerful electric motor, delivering 450 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. This setup enables the vehicle to accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 5 seconds.

Enhancements and Upgrades

Aside from the electric powertrain, Inverted has also revamped the interior with modern amenities, conducted a comprehensive restoration, and added off-road enhancements. The vehicle now features adjustable Fox shocks, upgraded Alcon brakes, and a new gearset with a limited-slip differential.

Range and Charging Capabilities

The electrified Range Rover can travel approximately 200 miles on a single charge and supports fast charging speeds of up to 75 kW. With a CCS charging port, the battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in just 38 minutes.

Interior and Exterior Upgrades

The restoration included stripping the vehicle down to its bare metal and upgrading the interior with new leather seats, a revised dashboard, and an Alcantara headliner. The Range Rover now features Apple CarPlay, Android Auto compatibility, an upgraded audio system, and an electric air conditioning system.

Pricing and Final Thoughts

While the electrified Range Rover offers impressive performance and modern features, it comes at a steep price starting from $312,000. Despite the cost, the conversion was done without any structural alterations, allowing for a potential reversion to a combustion engine setup if desired.
