Ford Introduces Matte Clear Film Option for 2024 Mustang Models

Ford is offering a new option for Mustang enthusiasts who want to protect and elevate the look of their vehicles. Starting February 27, customers can choose the Matte Clear Film, providing a sleek satin finish straight from the factory.

Exclusive to Select Models

Initially, the Matte Clear Film will be available for EcoBoost, GT, and Dark Horse coupes. Convertible models will have access to this feature starting in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Restrictions and Options

Mustang Dark Horse buyers opting for the Matte Clear Film will forego the standard Hood Accent Stripe and Painted Racing Stripe options. However, a graphics delete package will be offered for a clean look on the high-performance model with the Dark Horse Handling Package.

The film is not compatible with optional graphics packages on EcoBoost or GT models. The 2024 Mustang California Special will be the only model without the Matte Clear Film option.

Protection and Warranty

Designed by PPG Industries, the Matte Clear Film offers superior protection compared to vinyl wraps. It can withstand car wash detergents, road salt, bug splatter, bird droppings, and asphalt residue. The film comes with a three-year/36,000-mile factory warranty.

Delivery and Availability

Models equipped with Matte Clear Film will start deliveries in June 2024. This option can be combined with all available Mustang colors, giving owners a unique and protective finish for their beloved pony cars.
