Audi RS3 Sportback and Sedan Receive Updates for 2025 Model Year
Sharper Look and Improved Performance
Audi has given its RS3 Sportback and Sedan models a refresh for the 2025 model year. These updates include a sharper look, a tweaked chassis, and a slightly louder exhaust. The RS3 now performs better in corners, thanks to its improved handling. It still retains its iconic five-cylinder engine, which will be discontinued after nearly five decades in Audi’s lineup when production ends for the two compact models and the RS Q3 SUV.
Enhanced Interior Experience
In addition to the performance upgrades, Audi has also focused on enhancing the interior experience of the RS3. The German automaker has gone to great lengths to perfect the smell of the hot compact model. A team of fragrance experts analyzed nearly 200 interior components to ensure that the RS3 has a premium aroma that customers will appreciate.
Record-Breaking Performance
The RS3 Sedan, which is the only version heading to North America, recently set a new lap record at the Nürburgring. It completed the track in a time of 7:33.123 minutes, surpassing the previous record set by the BMW M2. This achievement solidifies the RS3 Sedan as the fastest compact car on the Nürburgring.
Powerful Performance
Both the RS3 Sedan and Sportback variants are powered by Audi’s 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. They deliver an impressive 400 PS (394 hp) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque in European spec. The RS3 can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds with quattro all-wheel drive and reach a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h) in the top-tier Carbon Vorsprung trim.
Availability
The refreshed RS3 Sedan and Sportback models will be available at European dealerships starting in October. However, for customers in America, the RS3 Sedan will arrive later in late 2024 or early 2025. More specific details about the availability will be announced in the coming weeks.
