A Comeback for Lincoln

The Lincoln Navigator has faced tough competition from the Cadillac Escalade, but Lincoln is fighting back with a new Navigator that takes inspiration from the Nautilus. The result is a more modern and streamlined design that aims to regain its lost luster.

Exterior Design

The 2025 Navigator features a modern grille with an illuminated light bar, slender headlights, and a rounded bumper. The bodywork has evolved, and the SUV now sports integrated roof rails and 22- or 24-inch wheels. Satin aluminum accents replace excessive chrome, giving the Navigator a more sophisticated look.

Split Gate and Expressive Taillights

The biggest changes can be seen at the back of the Navigator, where there’s an all-new Split Gate. The top three-quarters rise like a traditional liftgate, while the bottom lowers like a conventional tailgate, making loading and unloading easier. The SUV also features expressive taillights, illuminated 3D badging, and horizontal elements.

An Upscale Interior With a 48-Inch Display

The interior of the 2025 Navigator is inspired by the Nautilus and features an expansive 48-inch panoramic display that spans nearly the entire width of the dashboard. It is accompanied by a lower 11.1-inch screen and Google integration, providing access to Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Google Play Store. The SUV also introduces Pano Mode, which allows for video and gaming apps to be displayed on either side of the panoramic display when the vehicle is in park.

BlueCruise and Gimmicky Features

The 2025 Navigator comes with the BlueCruise semi-autonomous driving system, offering hands-free operation on highways. However, Lincoln has also introduced gimmicky features like Lincoln Rejuvenate, which provides a “spa on wheels” experience with massaging seats, calming visuals, ambient lighting, and soothing sounds. The SUV offers various themes, including Waterfall Meditation, Aurora Borealis, and Element, to enhance the overall experience.

Black Label Variants and Themes

For those seeking even more luxury, the Navigator offers Black Label variants with unique themes. The Enlighten version features Warm Horizon leather seats and laser-etched birch wood trim, while the Atmospheric version sports Salt Crystal Gray leather, Ash wood trim, and Radiant Copper accents. The Black Label variants come equipped with 30-way Perfect Position front seats, heated and ventilated second-row captain’s chairs, and a leather-wrapped rear console with a wireless smartphone charger.

Powerful Performance

The 2025 Navigator is powered by a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 engine that delivers 440 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a ten-speed automatic transmission and a standard four-wheel drive system. The SUV also features an adaptive suspension with continuously controlled damping for a smooth and comfortable ride.

Arriving Next Spring

The 2025 Lincoln Navigator and Navigator L are set to launch next spring. Pricing details will be announced closer to the launch date. With its modern design, luxurious interior, and powerful performance, the Navigator aims to reclaim its position in the luxury SUV market.
