2025 Mazda CX-5: Pricing and Updates
Mazda has recently announced the pricing for the 2025 CX-5, starting at $28,570. This marks a $730 decrease from the previous year’s model, thanks to the reintroduction of the entry-level 2.5 S trim. While there are limited changes overall, some models have received additional equipment, and the 2.5 S Premium trim has been discontinued.
Value-Focused Updates
Following the introduction of the 2025 CX-50, Mazda is now focusing on the CX-5, emphasizing value by lowering the entry price point. The return of the CX-5 2.5 S trim has enabled Mazda to offer a starting price of $28,570, making it more accessible to buyers. This represents a $730 reduction compared to last year’s model.
Features and Equipment
Despite its affordable price, the CX-5 2.5 S comes well-equipped with features such as LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Inside, buyers will find cloth seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. Additional highlights include push-button ignition, a four-speaker audio system, and Mazda Connected Services.
Driver Assistance and Performance
The CX-5 comes with a range of driver assistance systems, including Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Advanced Smart City Brake Support. Powering the crossover is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 187 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. The CX-5 achieves an EPA-estimated fuel economy of 26 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, and 28 mpg combined.
Model Lineup and Pricing
Changes to the lineup include the addition of a wireless smartphone charger for the CX-5 2.5 S Carbon Edition and front/rear parking sensors for the CX-5 2.5 S Premium Plus. The CX-5 2.5 S Premium has been discontinued, while pricing adjustments have been made across the range. The 2025 Mazda CX-5 is set to arrive at dealerships later this summer.
