2025 Mazda CX-90: Updates, Pricing, and Features
Introduction
Mazda has recently unveiled the 2025 CX-90, a three-row crossover that comes with several customer-centric updates. Despite the enhancements, the pricing for the CX-90 remains unchanged, starting at $37,845.
New Premium Sport Trim
The highlight of the 2025 CX-90 is the introduction of the Premium Sport trim. Starting at $46,400 and going up to $54,900 for the plug-in hybrid variant, the Premium Sport trim features a sleek blackout design. It includes a gloss black grille, black chrome accents, black badging, and 21-inch metallic black wheels. Additionally, the trim offers piano black mirrors, matching roof rails, a hands-free power liftgate, and a panoramic moonroof.
Interior Upgrades
Inside the CX-90, you’ll find a range of upgrades. These include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system. The cabin also features an eight-way power driver’s seat, a head-up display, and a frameless auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink. Front and rear parking sensors, as well as a wireless smartphone charger, have also been added.
Advanced Safety Features
The 2025 CX-90 comes equipped with advanced driver assistance systems. These include Emergency Lane Keeping with Blind Spot Assist, Road Keep Assist, Head-On Traffic Avoidance Assist, Secondary Collision Reduction, and Cruising & Traffic Support. The model also features Mazda Intelligent Drive Select and has a towing capacity of up to 5,000 lbs (2,268 kg) for the conventionally-powered variant.
Powertrain Options
The standard powertrain for the CX-90 is a turbocharged 3.3-liter inline-six engine producing 280 hp and 332 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Alternatively, customers can opt for the plug-in hybrid powertrain, which combines a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, an electric motor, and a 17.8 kWh battery pack. This setup delivers a combined output of 323 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque, with an electric-only range of up to 26 miles.
