  • Skoda Unveils Exterior Sketches of Upcoming Elroq Electric SUV

  • Debuting in October with Impressive Specifications

  • Powered by VW Group’s MEB Platform

Skoda has released exterior sketches of the highly anticipated Elroq, a fully electric compact SUV. The official debut of the Elroq is scheduled for October, and the sketches provide a glimpse of its design and features. The Elroq will be built on VW Group’s MEB platform and will offer four powertrain and battery options, making it a versatile and efficient electric SUV.

The Skoda Elroq adopts the automaker’s Modern Solid styling language, showcasing design elements that are likely to be seen in future Skoda models. One notable feature is the “Tech-Deck Face,” which refers to the fully covered grille of the EV. The Elroq also features split headlights with Matrix LED technology and a sleek profile reminiscent of the larger Enyaq SUV. The rear of the Elroq boasts wagon-inspired design cues, including a spacious tailgate and familiar taillights.

The interior of the Elroq is equally impressive, with a focus on sustainability and modern technology. Skoda has incorporated sustainable materials such as recycled post-consumer clothing, Recytitan (made from 78% recycled PET), and Technofil (polyester and recycled Econyl yarns). Customers can choose from four interior themes: Loft, Lodge, Suite, and Studio. The Elroq also offers a modern digital cockpit and the latest VW Group tech, ensuring a seamless and connected driving experience. Additionally, the Elroq provides ample practicality with its spacious five-seater cabin and 470 liters (16.6 cubic-feet) of cargo space.

When it comes to power and performance, the Elroq offers impressive options. The MEB-based model will be available with 55 kWh, 63 kWh, and 82 kWh battery packs, providing a WLTP range of up to 348 miles (560 km). The Elroq can be equipped with either a single rear-mounted electric motor or dual electric motors for all-wheel drive capabilities. The rear-wheel drive Elroq models will produce 168 hp (125 kW / 170 PS) or 282 hp (210 kW / 285 PS), while the all-wheel drive version will generate a combined 295 hp (220 kW / 299 PS).

Skoda enthusiasts and electric vehicle enthusiasts alike are eagerly awaiting the official debut of the 2025 Skoda Elroq. In the meantime, the exterior sketches, teaser videos, and photos of the camouflaged prototype provide a tantalizing preview of what’s to come.
