The Redesigned Dodge Durango

The redesigned Dodge Durango is set to go into production in 2026. The model will be based on the STLA Large platform, which also underpins the redesigned Charger and Charger Daytona. Additionally, a two-row Chrysler crossover is expected to be built at Windsor Assembly.

Details on the Next-Generation Durango

According to AutoForecast Solutions’ Sam Fiorani, the next-generation Durango (or its successor) will be manufactured at Windsor Assembly and will utilize the STLA Large platform. While there is limited information available about the model, it is expected to feature both internal combustion engines and electric powertrains.

Possible Specifications

If the Durango follows in the footsteps of the Charger, it could potentially come equipped with a roughly 100.5 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system. The entry-level EV variant is projected to produce 456 hp and 404 lb-ft of torque, while the Charger Daytona Scat Pack boasts 630 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, a twin-turbo 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six engine may also be offered, with outputs ranging from 420 hp to 550 hp.

Production and Platform for the Chrysler Crossover

In addition to the Durango, Windsor Assembly is expected to produce a two-row Chrysler crossover starting in early 2026. This crossover will be based on the STLA Medium platform, which is designed for vehicles measuring 169.3 to 192.9 inches in length. STLA Medium EVs are anticipated to feature up to a 98 kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 435 miles. They will be available with front- or all-wheel drive and have power outputs ranging from 215 hp to 382 hp.

Continued Production of the Pacifica

While a new Chrysler product is on the horizon, it appears that the Pacifica will remain unchanged until 2029. According to Fiorani, there will be some tweaks made to the model, but it will largely stay the same.
