2026 Mercedes-Benz GLS: Second Facelift Previewed in Renderings

Introduction

Mercedes-Benz is preparing to release the second facelift for its GLS SUV. Recently, spy photographers captured the refreshed GLS being tested on public roads. Now, new renderings have been released, giving us a preview of the upcoming changes.

Refreshed Design

The second facelift for the Mercedes-Benz GLS will primarily focus on cosmetic updates. The most noticeable change will be the new headlights, which will feature Three-Pointed Star LED daytime running lights. These lights were first seen on the Concept CLA Class and are also expected to be featured on the refreshed S-Class.

Additionally, the GLS will receive a revised grille, which appears to be smaller than the current one. It will feature two slim horizontal slats and a mesh with star-shaped patterns. The front air intakes and black shrouds will also undergo minor alterations.

At the rear, the GLS will sport different taillights with more complex LED signatures in the shape of a Three-Pointed Star. The bumper will be revised and include additional chrome trim connecting the tailpipes.

Expected Launch

The second facelift for the Mercedes-Benz GLS, including both the Mercedes and Maybach variants, is expected to launch in the middle of next year.
