Genesis Unveils Magma Performance Models

Genesis recently introduced a series of Magma-branded performance models at the New York Auto Show. The standout among them is the G80 Magma Special, a high-performance sedan set to rival the likes of BMW M5 and Mercedes-AMG E63. However, this exclusive model will not be available in North America but limited to just 20 units in the Middle East, specifically the United Arab Emirates.

Distinctive Design and Styling

The G80 Magma Special features a unique orange hue first seen on the GV80 Coupe SUV concept. It comes with a striking body kit, including broader fenders, enlarged bumper intakes, hood vents, and carbon fiber accents. The rear end is adorned with a ducktail spoiler, rear diffuser, and dual tailpipes, all sitting on 21-inch alloy wheels.

Luxurious Interior

Inside, the Magma treatment includes black Alcantara upholstery with orange stitching, carbon fiber accents, and Recaro bucket seats. The four-seater configuration offers comfort and sportiness in equal measure.

Powerful Performance

While specific powertrain details are undisclosed, reports suggest a twin-turbo V6 engine producing up to 500 horsepower. The G80 Magma Special is expected to offer a significant power boost over the standard model, with enhancements like lowered suspension and sharper steering.

Future Prospects

Genesis also showcased electric concepts at the New York Auto Show, hinting at the brand’s evolving lineup. With the G80 Magma Special leading the way, there is anticipation for more exclusive models from the Magma series to hit the global market. Stay tuned for updates on Genesis’s latest offerings.
