The Hummer H3R Concept: A High-Performance Off-Roader Up for Auction

If you’ve forgotten about the Hummer H3R concept, you’re not alone. However, this high-performance off-roader is set to be auctioned off at Mecum’s Indy Fall Special on October 5. Let’s take a closer look at what makes the H3R so special.

The Powerhouse

The Hummer H3R concept is equipped with a 7.0-liter LS7 V8 engine sourced from the Corvette Z06. This powerful engine delivers an impressive 505 horsepower (377 kW / 512 PS). But that’s not all, as the General has made additional modifications to enhance its performance. These include a custom air induction system, special valve and ignition coil covers, a larger radiator, a four-speed automatic transmission, and a locking front differential.

Off-Road Capabilities

The H3R concept not only looks the part but also performs exceptionally off-road. It features a four-inch lift and 20-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch Mickey Thompson tires. To ensure optimal stopping power, the concept is equipped with a high-performance Rotora braking system. Skid plates, rock sliders, and six auxiliary lights further enhance its off-road capabilities. The quick-release wheel arches, quad exhaust, and Jerry can in place of the spare tire add to its unique features.

A Unique Interior

Inside the H3R concept, you’ll find two racing seats with five-point harnesses. The driver enjoys a Momo steering wheel and is surrounded by auxiliary gauges, painted metal accents, and carbon fiber flourishes. The concept also boasts a dashboard-mounted flashlight and an infotainment system with GPS navigation. However, the gauges have a map motif, making them virtually unreadable. Interestingly, the second-row seat has been removed to accommodate the spare tire.

Auction Details

The exact auction estimate for the Hummer H3R concept is unknown. However, it was previously sold by Barrett-Jackson in 2009 for $44,000. It’s important to note that the vehicle is not certified to comply with any federal, state, or local laws and regulations, and therefore cannot be driven on public roads.

Don’t miss your chance to own this unique and powerful off-roader. The Hummer H3R concept will surely turn heads wherever it goes. Mark your calendars for Mecum’s Indy Fall Special on October 5 and be prepared to bid for this exceptional vehicle.
