New Bentley Flying Spur to be Revealed Next Week with Powerful PHEV Powertrain
The highly anticipated new Bentley Flying Spur is set to be unveiled next week, featuring the impressive Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain that was first introduced in the new Continental GT Speed.
Powerful Hybrid Powertrain
The new Flying Spur will be equipped with a 4.0-litre V8 engine paired with a gearbox-mounted electric motor, delivering an impressive 771bhp and 738lb ft of torque to all four wheels. This power output is 145bhp higher than the previous W12 engine used in the saloon.
Matching the power figures of the Continental GT Speed coupe, the new Flying Spur will be the most powerful and fastest Bentley produced, capable of accelerating from 0 to 62mph in just 3.2 seconds and reaching a top speed of 208mph.
Efficient and Environmentally Friendly
The new Flying Spur will also be the most efficient Bentley yet, with the brand claiming improved fuel economy and reduced emissions. While specific figures have not been released, the previous W12 model achieved 22.6mpg. Additionally, the hybrid powertrain will provide an electric-only range of 45 miles, further enhancing its eco-friendly credentials.
Refreshed Design and Enhanced Dynamics
Although the new Flying Spur is technically an update of the current third-generation model, it is expected to undergo significant enhancements to offer improved dynamic capabilities. Similar to its sibling, the Continental GT, the new Flying Spur will feature a refreshed design with updated front air intakes and a revised grille.
