Heading 4: Future Plans for Aehra

Aehra, the US-Italian EV start-up, has unveiled its latest creation, an all-electric saloon that will take on the ultra-premium segment. With a price tag of £138,160, the new model will join Aehra’s SUV and form a two-car line-up. The saloon will be revealed at the Milano Monza Motor Show and will be available for customer deliveries in 2026.

The design of the new saloon is expected to be similar to that of its larger sibling, with short overhangs, a rakish roofline, and a signature lighting design front and rear. The EV will look more like a supercar than a saloon, with a sleek body and sharp lines. The saloon will sit “much” lower than the SUV and will resemble a “concept on the street”. The doors will be “not usual”, but they will not take the form of the SUV’s scissor doors.

The saloon will share 70% of its components with the SUV to minimize production costs and time. This will include the same 3m-long monobody chassis and 120kWh battery, giving it a range of close to 500 miles. It is also expected to use the same powertrain set-up, which will be either two or three motors, depending on which supplier is eventually used. The set-up will produce a similar 794bhp output to that of the SUV.

Aehra’s commitment to sustainability and desirability is evident in the design and features of its new saloon. Most of the design will be fitted around the car’s stretched cabin, in line with Aehra’s vision of a spacious interior to fit passengers over six-foot tall “comfortably”. The saloon will be styled in a similarly dramatic way to its larger sibling, with short overhangs, a rakish roofline, and a signature lighting design front and rear.

Alessandro Serra, Aehra’s head of design, said: “We simply aim to become the most attractive Italian EV brand.” Aehra is focused on the ultra-premium segment, which is currently under-occupied by EVs. The company is committed to creating vehicles that are not only sustainable but also desirable and beautiful. Aehra’s team includes some of the most talented designers and engineers in the industry, and they are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible with EV technology.

Aehra plans to produce up to 25,000 units of each model per year, with a “strategic model roll out” planned for 2026 in markets such as Europe, North America, and China. The company is currently working on a third model, which will be a high-performance sports car, and is exploring opportunities to collaborate with other companies in the industry. Aehra’s ultimate goal is to become the leading Italian EV brand and a major player in the global automotive market.

In conclusion, Aehra’s new electric saloon is set to take on the ultra-premium segment with its sleek design, impressive range, and commitment to sustainability and desirability. With its focus on the ultra-premium segment and dedication to pushing the boundaries of what is possible with EV technology, Aehra is poised to become a major player in the global automotive market.
