Alpine Set to Launch Electric SUV in the U.S. in 2027

It has been 18 months since the stunning Alpine Alpenglow Concept was first revealed at the Paris Motor Show in October 2022. The company has announced plans to showcase a running example of the concept at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps for demonstration laps.

Exterior Design Tweaks

The updated Alpenglow Concept features subtle design changes to enhance its track performance. These modifications include a new front splitter, reshaped air intakes, and additional scoops for improved airflow. The concept’s striking exterior design has been fine-tuned for its upcoming track debut.

Hydrogen-Powered Technology

Alpine has been secretive about the specifics of the concept’s powertrain since its initial unveiling. The Alpenglow Concept is powered by hydrogen and utilizes an internal combustion engine, setting it apart from traditional hydrogen-fueled electric vehicles. The brand is following in the footsteps of Toyota and Renault in exploring hydrogen-fueled engines.

Track Debut

The Alpenglow Concept will be officially presented on May 10 and will undergo static display before completing three laps at the circuit on May 11. This marks a significant milestone for Alpine as it prepares to showcase its cutting-edge technology and design on the track.

Endurance Racing Success

Alpine has had a successful year in endurance racing, with its A424 LMDh hypercar making a strong debut at the Qatar 1812 KM event. The hypercars finished 7th and 11th, demonstrating Alpine’s commitment to performance and innovation in motorsport.
