Alpine electric fastback

Introduction

Alpine is set to reveal the A390 Beta concept on 11 October, providing a first glimpse of its upcoming competitor to the Porsche Macan. This electric crossover will feature a sleek coupe-like design, closely resembling the A390 that is scheduled to go into production next year. The concept will make its debut at the Paris Motor Show, which opens on 14 October.

Alpine’s Electric Dream Garage

The A390 Beta concept will be one of seven electric cars in Alpine’s “dream garage” lineup, aimed at establishing the French brand as a serious contender in the mainstream premium market. Each Alpine model will be designated based on its size and focus on performance or daily usability. The dynamics of the latter cars will be inspired by the flagship Alpine A110 sports car.

High-Performance and Sporty

Alpine’s design chief, Antony Villain, stated that the goal is to replicate the driving experience of the A110 in different segments. The brand aims to create high-performance, sporty, and energized electric vehicles, rather than focusing solely on straight-line speed. Achieving this will require various technical solutions, including torque vectoring and four-wheel steering.

With the unveiling of the A390 Beta concept, Alpine is poised to make a strong statement in the electric SUV market. Car enthusiasts and industry experts are eagerly awaiting the official debut of this exciting new addition to the Alpine lineup.
