Audi A6 e-tron to Debut Soon
- Audi has announced that the A6 e-tron will make its debut later this month.
- The new Q5 is also set to be unveiled this fall.
- These models are highly anticipated as Audi’s revenues have dropped by 9.5%.
Redesigned A5 and S5 Already Introduced
Audi recently introduced the redesigned A5 and S5 models, and now they have confirmed the upcoming debut of the A6 e-tron. Spy photographers have captured the electrifying wagon multiple times, showcasing its sleek design and the all-new PPE platform.
Powerful Performance of the Q6 e-tron
The A6 e-tron is built on the same platform as the Q6 e-tron, which features a 100 kWh battery pack and various powertrain options. The US-spec model offers a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with up to 456 hp, while the SQ6 e-tron boasts an impressive 510 hp.
Upcoming Redesigned Q5
Audi has also confirmed that the redesigned Q5 will be unveiled this fall. Spy photos have indicated that the crossover will feature an evolutionary design with streamlined bodywork. It is expected to share several features and powertrains with the A5 models.
Declining Revenues and Sales
Audi has reported a 9.5% decrease in revenues for the first half of the year, amounting to €30.9 billion ($33.6 billion). Group sales, including Bentley and Lamborghini, have also dropped by 8.2%. Bentley experienced a significant decline of 22.8% in sales, while Lamborghini saw a modest increase of 4.1%. These numbers reflect the challenges faced by Audi, but the company remains optimistic with its plans for future models.
Focus on Electric and Hybrid Vehicles
Audi has been heavily investing in electric and hybrid vehicles, but the sales of EVs have only increased by 1.3%. In contrast, demand for plug-in hybrids has surged by approximately 61%. Despite the challenges, Audi CEO Gernot Döllner remains confident in the company’s strategy, stating that they are expanding and rejuvenating their portfolio with all-electric models, plug-in hybrids, and highly efficient combustion-engine vehicles.
