Avatr, the Chinese automaker, has introduced a special edition of its flagship gran coupe in Shanghai. The Avatr 012, a collaboration with renowned fashion designer Kim Jones, showcases a range of distinctive design elements and includes a complimentary Dior handbag.

A Collaboration of Design and Fashion
Kim Jones, known for his work at Dior Men’s Collection and Fendi Womenswear/Haute Couture, joined forces with Avatr’s design team, led by former BMW designer Nader Faghihzadeh, to create the Avatr 012.
Exterior Design and Features
The Avatr 012 is based on the Avatr 12, with the addition of an extra zero in the name to signify its special edition status. The gran coupe boasts a stunning Liquid Silver shade with a shiny metal finish. The exterior is complemented by a set of 21-inch forged alloy wheels, featuring the signatures of Avatr and Kim Jones.
The model retains the innovative hood-mounted display and mirror-replacing cameras found in the standard version, compensating for the absence of a rear windshield.
Luxurious Interior and Advanced Technology
The interior of the Avatr 012 exudes luxury and sophistication:
- Suede upholstery and white vegetable-tanned Nappa leather adorn the seats.
- Integrated headrests proudly display the Avatr and Kim Jones logos.
- Owners can personalize the steering wheel and B-pillars with their own emblems.
The special edition EV is equipped with cutting-edge technology:

Power and Pricing
The Avatr 012 is powered by Huawei DriveOne dual electric motors, delivering a combined output of 539 hp (402 kW / 547 PS). The CATL 5C Qilin battery provides energy storage, and ultra-fast charging capabilities allow for a 30-80 percent charge in just 10 minutes.
The special edition model is priced at ¥700,000 (approximately $98,000) and will have a limited production run of 700 units. In comparison, the standard Avatr 12 starts at ¥265,800 ($37,200) for the entry-level single-motor setup.
Avatr plans to expand its lineup with EREV versions of its models alongside the existing BEVs.
