Bentley Hires Ex-Volvo Design Chief for Electric Future

Bentley is set to welcome back Robin Page as their new Director of Design this coming fall. With over three decades of experience in the automotive industry, Page is no stranger to the ultra-luxury brand, having previously served as their Head of Interior Design from 2001 to 2013. He also recently worked at Volvo as their Head of Global Design, where he played a significant role in creating the design language for the brand’s electric future.

Page’s return to Bentley is highly anticipated, especially as the brand is gearing up for a major shift towards electric vehicles. In fact, Bentley has set a goal to achieve full electrification by 2030, and Page’s expertise in innovative automotive design and his strong understanding of the Bentley brand make him the perfect person to help the brand achieve this ambitious goal.

Bentley CEO Adrian Hallmark expressed his excitement about Page’s return, saying, “I am pleased to welcome Robin back to Bentley having worked with him during a truly formative period in the history of Bentley Motors, launching the sector-defining Continental GT.” Hallmark also emphasized Page’s role in shaping the brand’s future, saying that he will help usher in the era of the electric Bentley.

Page himself is also excited about his return to Bentley, saying, “To return and have the opportunity to help set the design language for the first Bentley BEVs, redefining the rules while keeping continuity to the past and present, is a challenge I am privileged to lead.” With his extensive experience and passion for innovative design, Page is sure to make a significant impact on Bentley’s future.

It’s worth noting that Page’s return to Bentley comes after a brief stint at McLaren as their Design Boss. However, it seems that his heart truly lies with Bentley, where he has already left an indelible mark on the brand’s history. From crafting the cabins of the first-generation Continental GT to helping shape the brand’s electric future, Page’s contributions to Bentley are sure to be significant and long-lasting.
