BMW recently unveiled the new M4 CS, a high-performance coupe that wasted no time in showcasing its capabilities. Within three days of its debut, BMW released onboard footage of the M4 CS completing a lap of the Nurburgring in an impressive 7:21.989.

Impressive Performance and Specifications

• The M4 CS is powered by a 543 hp turbocharged inline-six engine.

• The lap time makes it the second-fastest production BMW on the track.

Comparison with Other BMW Models

The M4 CS’s lap time puts it in the same league as the Ferrari 488 GTB and surpasses the M3 CS by two seconds. However, it falls short of the M4 CSL’s record lap time of 7:15.677 set in 2022.

Focus on Performance and Comfort

While the M4 CSL prioritizes weight reduction, the M4 CS strikes a balance between performance and comfort. It features M Carbon bucket seats in the front while retaining rear seats and sound insulation. The coupe weighs 45 lbs less than the M4 Competition Coupe with xDrive.

Production and Pricing

The BMW M4 CS is set to go into production in July, with order books opening in May. The starting price for this high-performance coupe is $124,675, including a $1,175 destination charge.
