Bugatti Chiron Heritage Edition: A New Celebration

Bugatti has unveiled a one-off special edition of its Chiron model, called the Super Sport Golden Era, which pays tribute to the brand’s rich heritage. This unique car was designed according to the specific requests of a “very important” customer and features stunning hand-drawn murals of Bugatti’s most famous creations.

The Super Sport Golden Era is adorned with a meticulously crafted mural that showcases 45 historic Bugatti models. This intricate artwork took more than 400 hours to create, a process that Bugatti itself described as “extremely intimidating.” The ink used for the mural was specially developed for durability, ensuring that it will last the lifetime of the car.

The passenger door of the Super Sport Golden Era showcases 26 iconic Bugatti models, including the Type 41 Royale and the Type 57 SC Atlantic. The Type 41 Royale, which was launched in 1926, is widely regarded as the world’s most luxurious car of its time. The Type 57 SC Atlantic holds a special place in Bugatti’s history and is a personal favorite of Achim Anscheidt, Bugatti’s former design director who oversaw this project.

On the driver’s side of the car, sketches of Bugatti’s “modern” era are displayed, featuring the EB110, Veyron, and Chiron models. Additionally, as a nod to Bugatti’s iconic 16-cylinder engine, the doors of the Super Sport Golden Era are adorned with sketches of the 3712 components that make up the engine.

The entire car is finished in a striking two-tone color scheme, with Doré gold and Nocturne black complementing each other perfectly. This combination adds to the exclusivity and elegance of the Super Sport Golden Era.

Achim Anscheidt, who recently retired as Bugatti’s chief designer, expressed his pride in helping customers realize their dreams through extensive special commissions like this one. He noted that such large-scale projects are rare, with only one or two creations of this magnitude being produced each year. Anscheidt also acknowledged that the Golden Era was the most demanding piece of tailored personalization work that he and his team had ever undertaken.

Inside the car, the calligraphic theme continues on each of the door panels, with the EB110, Veyron, Chiron, Type 57 SC, Type 41, and Type 35 painted directly onto the leather. This attention to detail further enhances the bespoke nature of the Super Sport Golden Era.

The owner of this exceptional car will take delivery of it during Monterey Car Week. While the exact cost of this highly personalized vehicle is unknown, it is worth noting that the standard Bugatti Chiron Super Sport has a price tag of £3.2 million.

In conclusion, the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport Golden Era is a true masterpiece that celebrates Bugatti’s illustrious heritage. With its hand-drawn murals, meticulous craftsmanship, and attention to detail, this one-off special edition exemplifies the brand’s commitment to luxury and exclusivity. The Super Sport Golden Era is a testament to Bugatti’s ability to fulfill the unique desires of its discerning customers and showcases the brand’s ongoing legacy as one of the world’s most renowned luxury car manufacturers.
