Lamborghini, the renowned Italian automaker, achieved its strongest annual performance yet by selling more than 10,000 cars in 2023. This represents a remarkable 10% increase compared to the previous year and marks the third consecutive year of record-breaking sales.

With a total of 10,112 cars delivered worldwide, Lamborghini surpassed its own record of 9,233 units produced in 2022, which itself was a 10% increase over 2021. CEO Stephan Winkelmann expressed his pride in surpassing the 10,000-car delivery mark for the first time, emphasizing that the company is not content with this achievement alone and is ready to take on new challenges in 2024.

Urus SUV Remains Lamborghini’s Best-Selling Model

Continuing its dominance since its introduction in 2018, the Urus SUV was Lamborghini’s best-selling model in 2023. It accounted for nearly two-thirds of the company’s output at Sant’Agata, with a total of 6,087 units sold globally.

In the coming months, the Urus will undergo a significant mid-life update, during which it will be exclusively available as a plug-in hybrid. This move aligns with Lamborghini’s commitment to electrify its entire lineup by 2024.

Hurácan Sets Record Sales in Final Year

The V10-powered Hurácan achieved impressive sales figures in its final full year on the market, with nearly 4,000 units sold. This represents a record for the Hurácan model line itself. The Hurácan will be replaced later in 2024 by a new mid-engined supercar featuring a hybridized V8 engine, further contributing to Lamborghini’s electrification efforts.

Final V12 Aventador Models Sold Out

In 2023, only 63 V12-engined Lamborghinis were delivered, as the last 12 examples of the 10-year-old Aventador completed production. Additionally, 51 Aventador-based special editions, including the Invencible coupé and Autentica roadster, were sold. The Aventador will be succeeded by the Revuelto V12 hybrid, which is already sold out until late 2026.

Lamborghini aims to continue its growth trend in 2024, with the Revuelto playing a significant role in achieving this goal. While the exact number of Revuelto deliveries for this year remains undisclosed, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer Federico Foschini expressed ambitious expectations for the model.

Strong Sales Performance Across Regions

Among Lamborghini’s three core sales regions, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa demonstrated the strongest performance in 2023, with a total of 3,987 cars sold. America closely followed with 3,465 units, while the Asia-Pacific region received 2,660 cars from the Italian automaker.

With its record-breaking sales in 2023 and plans to electrify its entire lineup in 2024, Lamborghini continues to solidify its position as a leading luxury sports car manufacturer.
