Subaru WRX STI Gets Full Carbon Fiber Makeover at SEMA Show

In recent years, there has been a growing trend of aftermarket carbon fiber body panels being installed on cars. While this is often seen on high-end restomods, a Subaru WRX STI showcased at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas breaks the mold. This particular WRX STI, originally a 2009 model, has been transformed into a carbon fiber masterpiece.

A Unique Transformation

The current owner, known as carbon_mike on Instagram, purchased the WRX STI in 2012 with around 60,000 miles on the clock and used it as his daily driver for many years. However, as it is no longer his daily driver, he decided to give it a complete exterior overhaul using carbon fiber components.

Exterior Upgrades

The modifications to the WRX STI include a revised front fascia with a new bumper, splitter, and grille, all made from exposed gloss carbon fiber. The car also features aftermarket headlights, a carbon fiber hood with hood pins and additional air extractors, and carbon fiber panels throughout the exterior. This includes the roof, doors, fenders, pillars, and rear end. The rear wing is also made from carbon fiber, adding to the aggressive look of the car.

Interior Enhancements

The carbon fiber theme continues inside the car with upgrades to the dashboard, door panels, and the addition of a roll cage. The owner spared no expense in transforming every aspect of the WRX STI into a carbon fiber masterpiece.
