Chevrolet Trailblazer Gets New Facelift in Brazil

Chevrolet Trailblazer 2025: A New Look and Feel

The Chevrolet Trailblazer, a stalwart SUV in the market since 2012, has undergone its second facelift, following an initial update in 2016. The latest version boasts a completely revamped exterior and interior, drawing inspiration from the recently refreshed Chevrolet S10 (Colorado) pickup.

Enhanced Performance and Features

This new Trailblazer is equipped with a slightly modified turbodiesel engine paired with a new eight-speed automatic transmission. The suspension and steering have also seen improvements, enhancing the overall driving experience.

The second-generation Chevrolet Trailblazer, originally introduced in 2012 based on the Colorado midsize truck, has been discontinued in most markets without a successor. However, the model continues to be available in Brazil, where Chevrolet has introduced a series of upgrades for the 2025 version. It’s important to note that the Brazilian Trailblazer is distinct from the smaller crossover version available in the US.

Design and Features

The Brazilian-spec Trailblazer now shares design elements with the S10 pickup, featuring a modern front fascia that aligns with Chevrolet’s current styling language. While the bodywork remains largely unchanged, a new “High Country” trim level has been added, offering chrome accents and premium features.

Inside, the Trailblazer has been revamped with a new dashboard design and advanced technology features. An 8-inch digital instrument cluster, an 11-inch infotainment touchscreen, and wireless charging capabilities bring the SUV up to date with modern standards.

Power and Performance

Under the hood, the Trailblazer is powered by an upgraded 2.8-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine, delivering 204 horsepower and 510 Nm of torque. Paired with the new eight-speed automatic gearbox, this setup ensures improved performance and efficiency. The suspension and steering enhancements further contribute to a smoother ride quality.

Availability and Pricing

The 2025 Chevrolet Trailblazer will be manufactured at General Motors’ facility in São José dos Campos, Brazil, with expected availability at local dealerships in May. Pricing details will be announced closer to the launch date. This model is part of Chevrolet’s plan to introduce six new vehicles in Brazil in 2024, including the new Spin crossover and updated S10 pickup.
