Cadillac has recently shared new information about the redesigned XT5 specifically for the Chinese market. This updated version of the XT5 surpasses its US counterpart in terms of features and luxury.

Exterior Design

The XT5 boasts a distinctively American design, highlighted by a wide grille flanked by split lighting units. Cadillac has also equipped the model with adaptive anti-glare high-beams that automatically detect and avoid pedestrians and oncoming vehicles.

Interior Features

The interior of the XT5 takes inspiration from the Cadillac Lyriq and includes a 33-inch curved display and a 126-color ambient lighting system. The semi-aniline leather seats offer enhanced comfort with thicker padding and adjustable backrests. Other notable features include a panoramic sunroof, a floating center console, and a 15W wireless smartphone charger with air-cooling technology. The cabin is adorned with wood and aluminum trim, as well as a crystal-like knob featuring a 3D Cadillac shield motif.

The powertrain is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. The XT5 also features a twin-clutch all-wheel drive system that can distribute 100% of rear power to either wheel. The model offers a comfortable ride with its adaptive damping suspension, which adjusts 100 times per second.

In terms of technology, the XT5 includes 22 active safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane centering, and automatic emergency braking. Additional safety features include rear-cross traffic alert, side blind zone warning, and lane departure warning.
