Citroen C4 Cactus Continues in South America with Enhanced Infotainment

The Citroen C4 Cactus, despite being discontinued in Europe, has received subtle upgrades for the 2024 model year in South America. While the changes may not be immediately noticeable, they enhance the overall experience of the vehicle.

One of the standout features of the updated C4 Cactus is the new 10-inch touchscreen for the Citroen Connect infotainment system. This larger display offers a more immersive and user-friendly interface. It also supports wired Android Auto and wireless Apple CarPlay, allowing for seamless smartphone integration. Additionally, the infotainment system now includes a wireless charging pad, making it easier than ever to keep your devices powered up on the go.

In terms of interior improvements, the 2024 C4 Cactus now offers three new USB ports – two at the front and one at the back with a cable organizer. This ensures that everyone in the vehicle can easily charge their devices. The central armrest also features a larger storage compartment, providing ample space to stow away your belongings. Furthermore, the seats now come with new fabric upholstery, adding a touch of comfort and style to the cabin.

Standard equipment on the 2024 C4 Cactus includes automatic air conditioning, a keyless entry and start/stop system, the Grip Control selector for light off-roading, and six airbags for enhanced safety. These features ensure that drivers and passengers can enjoy a comfortable and secure journey.

Under the hood, the powertrain lineup remains unchanged from previous models. This is because South America does not have the same strict emissions regulations as Europe. The most powerful engine option is a turbocharged 1.6-liter THP petrol engine, which delivers 173 horsepower (129 kW / 175 PS). With this engine, the C4 Cactus can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62 mph) in just 7.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 212 km/h (132 mph). It’s worth noting that the C4 Cactus is one of the few remaining models based on the old PSA PF1 architecture, which it shares with the European C3 supermini, as well as the C3 Aircross and Opel Crossland B-SUVs.

In terms of pricing, the 2024 Citroen C4 Cactus starts from 106,990 Brazilian Real ($21,813) or from 7,937,800 Argentinan Pesos ($30,423), depending on the market. This makes it slightly more affordable compared to its predecessor, offering customers a great value for their money.

Overall, the 2024 Citroen C4 Cactus brings subtle yet significant upgrades to the South American market. With its new touchscreen infotainment system, improved interior features, and powerful engine options, it offers a compelling choice for those in search of a stylish and practical compact SUV. Whether you’re navigating city streets or embarking on off-road adventures, the C4 Cactus is ready to take you there in style and comfort.
