Velocity Invitational at Sonoma Raceway: A Dream Come True

Attending the Velocity Invitational at Sonoma Raceway in Northern California was a dream come true for me this year. The event showcased an impressive lineup of cars that seemed straight out of my wildest fantasies. One of the highlights of the weekend was the opportunity to experience a thrilling ride along in a rally car, driven by none other than Brandon, a freeride mountain biker turned rally driver.

A Heart-Pounding Adventure

As part of the Velocity Invitational, I had the chance to embark on a heart-pounding adventure with Brandon behind the wheel. Little did I know that this exhilarating experience would also put my claustrophobia to the test.

A Claustrophobia-Induced Panic Attack

During the ride along, as we sped through the raceway, I suddenly found myself overwhelmed by a claustrophobia-induced panic attack. The confined space of the rally car, combined with the adrenaline rush of the high-speed maneuvers, triggered an unexpected wave of fear and anxiety.

Overcoming My Fears

Despite the panic attack, I was determined not to let my fears ruin this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. With the support and encouragement of Brandon, I managed to regain control of my emotions and enjoy the rest of the ride.

A Weekend of Dreams

The Velocity Invitational at Sonoma Raceway was truly a weekend of dreams. From witnessing incredible cars in action to experiencing the thrill of a rally car ride along, every moment was unforgettable. I am grateful for the chance to be a part of this extraordinary event and look forward to future adventures in the world of motorsports.
