Introducing the Evoluto 355: A Reborn Analog Ferrari by British Start-Up
The Ferrari F355, a classic in its own right, has been reimagined by British start-up Evoluto Automobili. This restomod, known as the Evoluto 355, promises to be the “antidote” to modern supercars with its unique blend of classic design and modern enhancements.
Bodywork Designed by Ian Callum
One of the key features of the Evoluto 355 is its new bodywork designed by Ian Callum. The front end has been reworked with a larger grille and a carbon fiber lip, while the pop-up headlights have been replaced with new LED units. The rear end also receives a makeover with a large diffuser and ring-shaped LED brake lights. All the new panels are made from carbon fiber, reducing the car’s weight to a “target” of 1250kg.
Enhanced Performance
The Evoluto 355 not only looks the part but also performs exceptionally well. The V8 engine has been overhauled to improve reliability and tractability. With tweaks to the ignition system, cylinder head, and camshaft, the engine now produces 420bhp, 40bhp more than the factory rating. The quill shaft, a known weakness in the original F355, has been replaced with a strengthened part for improved reliability.
Improved Handling and Stability
To complement the increased power output, the chassis of the Evoluto 355 has been reinforced with spot welding and carbon fiber bracing. This improves torsional stiffness by 23%, enhancing handling and stability. The suspension has been redesigned for a wider track, and the brakes have been upgraded to modern Brembo slotted discs.
Limited Production
Only 55 Evoluto 355s will be built, with each car customizable to the owner’s preferences. Prices have yet to be revealed, but customers can choose custom paint finishes and interior upholstery options. The car will make its public debut at Monterey Car Week following its reveal at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
