BMW X5 Edition 25 Jahre: Celebrating 25 Years of the X5

Introduction

BMW is commemorating the 25th anniversary of the original X5 with a limited edition model called the X5 Edition 25 Jahre. This special edition SUV pays homage to its predecessor with nostalgic colors and unique features. Only 250 units will be produced, exclusively for the Canadian market.

Distinctive Design

• The X5 Edition 25 Jahre is available in two nostalgic shades, Oxford Green II Metallic and Le Mans Blue Metallic.
• It features black exterior trim pieces from the M Sport package and bumpers and rocker panels with aluminum-style accents from the xLine.
• The SUV rides on 21-inch Orbit Grey wheels with a Y-spoke pattern reminiscent of the original X5’s 18-inch wheels.

Interior Highlights

• Le Mans Blue Metallic variant comes with Silverstone Sensafin upholstery and Poplar Grain Anthracite Brown Open-Pored trim accents.
• Oxford Green II Metallic variant features Coffee Sensafin interior and Fineline Stripe Brown High-Gloss trim.

Impressive Features

• The X5 Edition 25 Jahre comes equipped with the xOffroad Package, offering four driving modes for difficult terrains.
• It also includes two-axle air suspension, a mechanical rear differential lock, additional underbody protection, and a dedicated xOffroad View screen on the infotainment display.
• Standard equipment includes heated seats, armrests, and steering wheel, a Harman-Kardon audio system, Parking Assistance Professional ADAS, and the BMW Curved Display with a head-up display and augmented-reality navigation.

Pricing and Availability

The BMW X5 Edition 25 Jahre will be available at Canadian dealerships in the fourth quarter of the year. It has an MSRP of CA$102,500, making it slightly more affordable than its US counterpart. Since its debut in 1999, BMW has produced nearly 3 million units of the X5 at its Spartanburg plant in South Carolina.
