Florida Woman Reports Self-Stealing Car to Police

Florida Woman Calls Police to Report Her Own Grand Theft Auto

Woman Arrested for Trespassing After Reporting Her Own Crime

Committing a crime is never a smart move, but one Florida woman took it to the next level by calling the police to report her own grand theft auto. Christie Lee Turman, 37, shocked authorities when she phoned in to report the theft of a Toyota Corolla, admitting that she was the one attempting to steal the car.

Unusual Turn of Events

During the 911 call, Turman informed the dispatcher that she was in the process of stealing a car that didn’t belong to her and requested the police to come and make a report. This bizarre situation led to her arrest and subsequent trespassing charge, marking her sixth arrest since 2005.

Confusion and Consequences

Authorities were puzzled by Turman’s actions, as she claimed to be playing a “game of Black Ops,” which left them questioning her motives. Despite her belief that reporting the crime herself would make it legal, she ended up behind bars once again.

Legal Ramifications

Although Turman did not succeed in stealing the Toyota, she now faces a trespassing charge. If she had refrained from attempting the theft in the first place, she would have avoided any legal trouble altogether.
