**Van Life Gets Greener with Ford’s New Tourneo Connect Plug-In Hybrid**

Ford is leading the way in eco-friendly van options with the introduction of the new Tourneo Connect Plug-In Hybrid in Europe. This innovative van is set to hit the market later this year, featuring a plug-in hybrid powertrain that includes a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, a high-voltage battery, an electric motor, and a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.

**Powerful Performance**

While Ford has not revealed all the specifics, they have confirmed that the Tourneo Connect Plug-In Hybrid will offer a combined output of 148 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. This ensures a smooth and powerful driving experience for users.

**Impressive Electric Range**

One of the standout features of this model is its electric-only range of approximately 68 miles. While recharging the battery may not be lightning-fast with a DC fast charging rate of 50 kW, it is still significantly quicker than the AC rate of up to 11 kW.

**Innovative Battery Management**

To optimize battery usage, the van comes equipped with four different settings – EV Auto, EV Now, EV Later, and EV Reserve. These settings allow drivers to customize their driving experience and make the most of the hybrid powertrain.

**Variety of Options**

The Tourneo Connect Plug-In Hybrid will be available in both five-passenger and seven-passenger configurations, catering to different needs. Customers can choose from Trend, Titanium, and Active trim levels, each offering a range of features and options.

**Advanced Technology**

Even the base model Trend comes loaded with technology, including a 10-inch digital instrument cluster and infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The van also offers various driver assistance systems like Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane-Keeping Assist.

**Availability**

Customers can start placing orders for the Tourneo Connect Plug-In Hybrid this summer, with deliveries expected to begin in the fourth quarter. Ford Europe’s Rich Hughes expressed excitement about the model, stating that it will electrify many journeys in customers’ busy lifestyles.

By introducing the Tourneo Connect Plug-In Hybrid, Ford is taking a significant step towards a greener future for van owners in Europe.
