Ford has expanded its range of Transit Custom Nugget campers in Europe with the introduction of a new rugged variant and a long-wheelbase version. These new models, developed in collaboration with camper converter Westfalia, will be showcased at the Caravan Salon in Dusseldorf, Germany from August 30 to September 8.

The new Active variant of the Ford Transit Custom Nugget features a distinctive design with a new grille, black plastic rocker panels, black exterior cladding, and 17-inch machined alloy wheels. It also comes with LED taillights and special interior touches such as water-resistant and durable fabric seats and a large touchscreen for controlling vehicle functions.

The Ford Transit Custom Nugget campers also prioritize safety with features like Pre-Collision Assist, Reverse Brake Assist, Blind Spot Information System, and Adaptive Cruise Control. The Active variant can be equipped with all-wheel drive and is powered by a 168 hp EcoBlue diesel engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

For those in need of extra space, the long-wheelbase version of the Transit Custom Nugget is available for both the Titanium and Active variants. This version offers a larger kitchen area, increased worktop space, and more storage options. It also includes a larger built-in wardrobe and heated swivel front seats.

In addition to the diesel engine options, Ford offers a plug-in hybrid variant of the Transit Custom Nugget. This model combines a 2.5-liter petrol four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a 11.8 kWh battery pack, delivering a total output of 230 hp.
