Introduction

Nilu27, a start-up founded by Sasha Selipanov, the former design chief of Koenigsegg, is set to debut its first hypercar at the prestigious Pebble Beach concours d’elegance. The Nilu Hypercar, weighing 1200kg dry, boasts a bespoke powerplant and promises exceptional performance.

Bespoke Powerplant

The Nilu Hypercar is powered by a unique naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine. Developed by New Zealand’s Hartley Engines, the powerplant is mounted amidships and delivers an impressive 1055bhp at 11,000rpm and 634lb ft at 7000rpm. The engine is coupled with a seven-speed manual gearbox and enables a limited top speed of 249mph, with a 0-62mph time of under 3.0 seconds.

Chassis and Suspension

While Nilu27 has not revealed specific details about the Hypercar’s chassis, it has confirmed that it features double-wishbone pushrod suspension. The car is equipped with custom center-locking wheels manufactured by Italian company AppTech, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.

Production and Design

Nilu27 plans to produce an initial batch of 15 track-focused Hypercars, followed by 54 street-legal versions. Additionally, four of these street-legal models will be bespoke cars that will showcase further evolution in design. The company believes that despite the trend towards electrification, these timeless hypercars will continue to captivate passionate car enthusiasts.

“While the world is moving towards electrification, and for very good reason, we firmly believe the timelessness of these cars will not only keep them relevant but they will continue to find a place in the collections of passionate car lovers,” said Inna Selipanov, co-founder of Nilu27.
