Vector, a supercar manufacturer based in Wilmington, California, aimed to compete with top brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini. The W8 was their second model, but due to financial constraints, only 17 units were ever produced before the company ceased operations in 1993.

Chassis 001 Looking for a New Owner

This specific 1990 Vector W8 Twin Turbo, chassis 001, is now up for auction. Originally owned by a member of the Saudi Arabian royal family, it has since passed through various hands before landing with the current seller in 1999. Despite being driven only 1,700 miles, the odometer no longer works.

Power and Performance

The Vector W8 is powered by a 6.0-liter Rodeck V8 engine equipped with forged aluminum pistons, a forged crankshaft, Carrillo connecting rods, and two Garrett H3 turbochargers. This powerhouse produces 625 hp and 630 lb-ft of torque, paired with a three-speed automatic transmission.

Exterior and Auction Details

The car features a riveted chassis with an aluminum monocoque and steel tubing. Finished in Graphite Gray, it rides on custom 17-inch wheels designed to replicate the original factory wheels.
