Introduction

Genson Electric Vehicles has unveiled a teaser for their upcoming urban electric vehicle, the Gensol EV. This innovative EV will be manufactured in India and is set to redefine technology standards in its segment.

Design and Features

The teaser video provides a sneak peek into the design elements of the Gensol EV. The vehicle showcases a compact footprint with distinctive headlights, taillights, and small-diameter wheels. The top view suggests the presence of a sunroof. While it appears to ride on three wheels, there is a possibility of it being a four-wheeler with closely positioned rear wheels.

Interior

The video also offers a glimpse of the interior, featuring a free-standing infotainment touchscreen and classic rotating A/C controls on the center console.

Impressive Technology

Although specific details about the battery pack and electric powertrain are not disclosed, Gensol EV promises a range of over 200 km (124 miles) and a top speed of 80 km/h (50 mph). The vehicle will be equipped with advanced technology, including AI tech, an ADAS suite, an automated parking system, and autonomous navigation capabilities.

Release and Pricing

The Gensol EV is scheduled to debut in March 2024 and will be manufactured in Gensol’s sustainable production facility in Chakan, India. According to reports, the vehicle is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 5-6 Lakh ($6,000-7,200), making it the most affordable EV in the region.
