Testing on the Nurburgring

The Californian company, Singer, has been spotted testing its 930 Turbo Coupe on the famous Nurburgring track. This indicates that the company is not only launching a modern-day version of the Porsche 930 Turbo Coupe but is also actively developing Targa, Cabriolet, and Slantnose Coupe versions.

Renderings of the Lineup

Singer has released detailed renderings of the four 930 Turbo variants. These models are being launched to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the original 911 Turbo. The company plans to build 70 examples of the standard Coupe model, while only 25 Slantnose Coupes will be produced. The number of Targa and Cabriolet models in development is currently unknown.

Powerful Performance

Each 930 Turbo restoration from Singer will be based on the chassis of a 964. The original 3.8-liter air-cooled Mezger flat-six engine has been upgraded with twin turbos from the 992-generation model, resulting in an impressive power output of 510 hp. All models will feature a six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive.

Staying True to the Original Design

Singer has incorporated carbon fiber panels into the bodies of all 930 Turbo models while maintaining the iconic design elements of the original. These include flared front and rear wheel arches, black elements below the doors, and large side air intakes positioned in front of the rear wheels. The Coupe, Targa, and Cabriolet models also come with custom whale tail spoilers, while the Slantnose Coupe features a more extreme and larger rear wing. Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires are standard on all versions.

Celebrating an Icon

Singer founder and executive chairman Rob Dickinson expressed his excitement about collaborating with owners to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 911 Turbo. He described the 911 Turbo as a “poster child, autobahn hero, and race winner” that is loved by drivers and enthusiasts worldwide.
