Gran Turismo 7 March Update: New Cars and Anime Decals

Introduction

Automotive enthusiasts with a PlayStation had to wait a bit longer this month for the Gran Turismo 7 free update, but the March update did not disappoint. This update brought new cars, including the 1999 Toyota GT-One (TS020), the 2018 Lamborghini Urus, and the 2016 Audi R8 Coupe V10 Plus, catering to fans of endurance racing, V10 engines, and even anime.

New Cars Added

Each of the new cars added in the update brings its own unique history and performance. The Toyota GT-One, known for its speed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Audi R8 V10 Plus with its powerful 5.2-liter V10 engine, and the Lamborghini Urus equipped with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine making 641 hp, offer players a diverse range of driving experiences.

Game Enhancements

In addition to the new cars, Gran Turismo 7 is also introducing a collaboration with the upcoming Japanese anime series “Highspeed Etoile.” Players can now customize their cars with preset decals featuring characters from the show and its logo in the livery editor.

The game’s photo mode will now feature a backdrop set among the cherry blossoms of Fukushima, adding a touch of beauty to virtual racing. A Jaguar racing challenge will be included in the single-player Cafe mode, and new races will be available in the World Circuits menu.

Availability

The new content, officially named Update 1.44, will be available for download on March 28, 2024, at no additional cost to players. With these exciting additions, Gran Turismo 7 continues to provide an immersive and engaging experience for racing enthusiasts.
