Hot Wheels x MSCHF “Not Wheels” Diecast Model: A Tribute to Beat-Up Cars

The Collaboration

Hot Wheels has teamed up with art collective MSCHF to create a unique diecast model called “Not Wheels.” This collaboration pays homage to beat-up cars, capturing their charm and imperfections in a 1:64 scale model.

A Tribute to Beaters

The “Not Wheels” diecast model features dented and rusted bodywork, three mismatched wheels, and dirty windows. It draws inspiration from early ’90s Japanese imports, resembling a Toyota Corolla or Honda Accord with its quirky design elements.

Quirky Details

This unique model showcases various quirky details that add to its charm. It includes a cracked windshield, grime-coated windows, and bumper stickers for comic relief. The car also features over-the-top mods like a turbo decal, blue racing stripes, an oversized spoiler, and an obnoxious aftermarket exhaust.

Release and Pricing

The “Not Wheels” diecast model will be available for purchase on August 30 for $30. The packaging is as unique as the car itself, featuring MSCHF branding and cheeky tags like “Guaranteed Clunker” and “Not Yet Totalled.” Please note that the figurines shown in the promotional material are not included.

Collectible Status

Given its distinctive design and limited availability, the value of the “Not Wheels” diecast model is expected to increase over time. Collectors and enthusiasts may take advantage of its collectible status, making it a sought-after item in the future.
