Hyundai Instar: 217-mile EV city car for £22,000

Introducing the Hyundai Inster: A New Era of Electric Cars

Hyundai is revolutionizing the electric car market with its latest offering, the Hyundai Inster. This compact yet versatile four-seater is set to redefine the way we think about electric vehicles.

The Inster is based on the Hyundai Casper platform, which has been extended to accommodate an underfloor battery pack. This expansion has enhanced both practicality and interior space, making the Inster a formidable competitor in its class.

With dimensions measuring 3.8m long, 1.6m wide, and 1.6m tall, the Inster falls between the Dacia Spring and the Citroën ë-C3 in size. Despite its compact footprint, Hyundai assures that the Inster is as practical as its five-seat counterparts. The innovative interior design allows for maximum flexibility, with four seats that can be folded flat, slid, and reclined to optimize space as needed.

The Inster will be available in two configurations at launch. The base model features a 96bhp drive unit with a 42kWh battery pack, offering a range of 186 miles. The long-range version boasts 113bhp, a 49kWh battery, and an impressive range of 217 miles.

In addition to its performance capabilities, the Inster comes equipped with cutting-edge technology features. A dual 10.25-inch display setup, smartphone key access, and Hyundai’s full suite of driver assistance technologies ensure a seamless driving experience.

Scheduled for delivery in spring next year, the Hyundai Inster is priced at around £22,000. With its focus on interior connectivity and advanced technologies, Hyundai aims to attract a new wave of customers to the electric car market.

Paolo Gnerro, product planning manager for Hyundai Motor Europe, believes that the Inster will appeal to a diverse range of customers, from young first-time buyers to empty-nesters looking for a second car. By prioritizing range over size, Hyundai is catering to evolving customer preferences in the electric vehicle segment.

Get ready for the future of electric cars with the Hyundai Inster – where innovation meets practicality in a compact yet powerful package.
