Hyundai Ioniq 5 Update: Lower Price and Enhanced Features

New N-Line Trim and Improved Battery Options

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has received an update to stay competitive in the electric SUV market. The latest changes include a lower entry price below £40,000 and upgraded battery options.

Enhanced Battery Performance

The previous 58kWh and 73kWh battery packs have been replaced with 63kWh and 84kWh units. The smaller battery offers 273 miles of range, while the larger one provides up to 354 miles.

Improved Features and Styling

The updated Ioniq 5 now features a rear wiper, addressing a common complaint from owners. Chassis revisions have been made to enhance stability and reduce vibration. Additional sound insulation has been added for a quieter ride.

The exterior has been restyled with a new open grille section and extended rear spoiler. The new N-Line trim offers a sportier look with aggressive front styling and larger alloy wheels.

Interior Upgrades

Inside, the steering wheel now has pixel-style LED lighting, and the climate control panel has been redesigned for better usability. A new shortcut button on the center console provides easy access to essential functions.

Affordable Entry-Level Option

The new Advance trim starts at £39,900 with the 63kWh battery. While it may lack some luxury features, it includes important technology like an efficiency-boosting heat pump. Customers can upgrade to the 83kWh battery for an additional £3500.

This update reflects Hyundai’s response to the demand for a more affordable Ioniq 5 variant, offering customers a compelling electric SUV option at a competitive price point.
