Hyundai Replaces Engine: A Fortunate Tale for Some, Giga Gears

Hyundai Finally Replaces Engine in 2018 Sonata After Two-Year Struggle

After a long and frustrating two-year battle, Hyundai has finally replaced the engine in my 2018 Sonata. This ordeal involved multiple visits to the dealer, relentless communication with Hyundai corporate, countless miles of driving, and numerous gallons of oil. Fortunately, I was not charged for this repair. However, there are still many other Hyundai and Kia owners who are anxiously awaiting a decision on their engine issues.

The Struggle for Engine Replacement

The process of getting my engine replaced was far from smooth. It took two years of persistence and determination to finally get the problem resolved. I had to make several trips to the dealership, each time hoping for a solution. Additionally, I had to constantly reach out to Hyundai corporate, providing them with detailed information about the ongoing engine problems.

During these two years, I drove thousands of miles, experiencing the frustration of engine failures and the anxiety of not knowing when the next breakdown would occur. I also had to regularly top up the oil, as the faulty engine consumed an excessive amount.

A Costly Issue for Many

While I was fortunate to have my engine replacement covered under warranty, many other Hyundai and Kia owners have not been as lucky. They are still waiting for a decision on their engine issues and facing the financial burden of potential repairs.

It is disheartening to see fellow car owners struggle with these engine problems, especially when they have invested their hard-earned money in these vehicles. The lack of a timely resolution from Hyundai and Kia is causing frustration and disappointment among their customer base.

Seeking a Resolution

As a Hyundai owner who has experienced the challenges of engine problems firsthand, I urge the company to prioritize the needs of its customers. It is crucial for Hyundai and Kia to address these issues promptly and provide fair solutions to affected owners.

Furthermore, I encourage other Hyundai and Kia owners who are still waiting for engine repairs to reach out to the company and voice their concerns. Together, we can create awareness and push for a resolution to this ongoing problem.
