Isuzu’s Unique SUVs of the Late ’90s and Early 2000s

Isuzu made a bold move in the late ’90s and early 2000s by introducing quirky SUVs that stood out from the crowd. The VehiCROSS, with its alien-like appearance, and the 2002 Isuzu Axiom were prime examples of the brand’s unconventional design choices.

The VehiCROSS was a two-door rugged off-roader that turned heads with its unique styling. Despite its distinctive look, it failed to make a significant impact in the market. Similarly, the Isuzu Axiom, with its bold design, also struggled to gain traction among consumers.

Even sharing screen time with Antonio Banderas in a prototype Axiom did not help boost its popularity. These unconventional SUVs may not have been market successes, but they certainly left a lasting impression on the automotive industry.
