Lamborghini Urus Performante Joins Italy’s Polizia di Stato for Special Services

The Dubai Police may need to up their game because Italy’s Polizia di Stato has just received a special Lamborghini Urus Performante. This high-performance model will be used for special services, including urgent medical transport of organs and plasma.

Eye-Catching Livery Designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile

This isn’t your average police vehicle. The Lamborghini Urus Performante features a unique livery designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile. It combines the traditional blue and white colors of the Italian State Police with tricolor bands and reflective police logos, making it truly eye-catching.

Upgrades for Special Services

In addition to the striking livery, the Urus Performante is equipped with special features for its role. It has a slender LED light bar that provides 360° coverage and a two-tone siren. Inside the cabin, there’s special switchgear, an armored weapons box, and a flip-down message display. The model also has a unique cargo compartment that houses a defibrillator and a portable fridge for organ transportation.

Powerful Performance

Under the hood, the Lamborghini Urus Performante packs a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces an impressive 657 horsepower (490 kW / 666 PS) and 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) of torque. With its all-wheel drive system, this crossover can accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 190 mph (306 km/h).

A Proud Collaboration

The Urus Performante is the sixth Lamborghini model to be used by the Italian Highway Police, and the collaboration between Lamborghini and the police force will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2024. Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann expressed his pride in this partnership, stating that knowing their cars are used for public duties and life-saving operations brings great pleasure to him and the entire company.
