“Jaguar F-Type production concludes with 87,731 units made | Giga Gears”

The Final Chapter: Jaguar F-Type Production Ends After 87,731 Examples Built

The iconic Jaguar F-Type has bid farewell as the last model rolled off the Castle Bromwich production line, marking the end of an era for petrol sports cars from the brand. With Jaguar shifting its focus towards low-volume electric luxury vehicles, the final F-Type pays homage to its predecessor, the E-Type, with a stunning Giola Green convertible featuring a tan leather interior and black roof.

Legacy Continues
The final F-Type will join the prestigious Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust collection at Gaydon, alongside the last XE, XF, and XF Sportbrake models. While F-Types will still be available in showrooms until early next year, production at Castle Bromwich has come to a close, making Jaguar temporarily an SUV-only brand.

Electric Rebirth
Jaguar’s next electric car, a grand tourer on the new JEA platform, is set to be unveiled later this year. With a range of 430 miles and a starting price exceeding £100,000, the electric vehicle is expected to deliver over 575bhp from a dual-motor powertrain. Drawing inspiration from classics like the E-Type and XJS, the new model promises to be a unique masterpiece that captures the essence of Jaguar’s legacy.

Future Plans
Following the electric grand tourer, Jaguar plans to introduce an opulent SUV to compete with the Bentley Bentayga, as well as a large saloon that serves as a spiritual successor to the XJ EV. Chief Creative Officer Gerry McGovern envisions a future where Jaguars continue to evoke a sense of awe and wonder, staying true to the brand’s tradition of delivering jaw-dropping moments.

As Jaguar embarks on its electric reinvention, the legacy of the F-Type lives on in the hearts of enthusiasts, marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter in the brand’s history.
