Jaguar Introduces On-Demand I-Pace Rental Service for Luxurious Apartment Residents

Jaguar has partnered with British apartment group MODA Living to launch an on-demand rental service for the electric I-Pace. This service is exclusively available to residents of two luxurious apartment complexes in Manchester and Leeds in the UK. Through a dedicated platform, residents of Angel Gardens in Manchester and New York Square in Leeds can now book an I-Pace for up to 48 hours.

The rental service aims to provide a convenient and flexible mobility solution for residents who may not want to own a car but still require occasional access to one. Jaguar’s collaboration with MODA Living ensures that the rental experience is seamless and hassle-free. The 24-hour concierge teams at both apartment complexes will handle all support, including insurance, charging costs, valeting, and maintenance.

Jaguar’s decision to offer the I-Pace for this rental service is strategic. As the brand’s only current electric vehicle, it serves as a showcase for Jaguar’s commitment to electrification. However, the I-Pace will be replaced in the future as part of Jaguar’s plans to move up the market and compete with luxury brands like Bentley. By introducing the I-Pace to apartment residents, Jaguar hopes to generate interest and potentially convert them into customers when the brand’s new range of models arrives in 2025.

All future Jaguar models will be built on the common JEA (Jaguar Electric Architecture), ensuring a consistent and efficient electric platform. The first model to utilize this architecture will be a four-door GT, expected to have a starting price of around £100,000 or $125,000. This GT model will be the most powerful Jaguar ever produced and will feature batteries supplied by Tata. With an estimated range of 430 miles (692 km), it promises impressive performance and long-distance capabilities.

Jaguar’s focus on electric vehicles aligns with its goal of becoming an all-electric luxury car company by 2025. The rental service for the I-Pace is just one example of how Jaguar is exploring alternatives to direct car ownership. By offering on-demand access to the I-Pace, Jaguar provides a client-centered mobility solution that caters to the changing preferences of consumers. This initiative will be closely monitored, and if successful, could be expanded to major cities worldwide.

The collaboration between Jaguar and MODA Living highlights the increasing importance of partnerships in the automotive industry. As the landscape evolves, car manufacturers are seeking innovative ways to reach potential customers and provide unique experiences. By teaming up with a luxury apartment group, Jaguar can tap into a targeted audience and showcase its electric offerings in a relevant and appealing setting.

Overall, Jaguar’s on-demand I-Pace rental service demonstrates the brand’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions. By providing residents of luxurious apartment complexes with convenient access to electric mobility, Jaguar aims to create a positive brand experience and potentially drive future sales. As the automotive industry continues to transition towards electrification, initiatives like this rental service will play a crucial role in shaping the future of mobility.
