Enhancing the Toyota Prius with Kuhl Racing Bodykit

Owners of the Toyota Prius now have another option to upgrade their vehicle’s appearance. Kuhl Racing, a Japanese tuner, has introduced a new bodykit that adds a touch of aggression to the popular hybrid car. The bodykit includes sharp-looking aero bits, aftermarket wheels, and lowered coilovers, giving the Prius a more aggressive stance.

A Unique Look for the Toyota Prius

The Kuhl Racing bodykit is designed to emphasize the sharp surfacing of the new Prius. It includes a splitter, side skirts, rear bumper extension, and an optional rear spoiler. These visual upgrades are made of ABS and can be installed with or without lowering the vehicle. However, Kuhl Racing notes that there may be some rubbing with the lowered setup.

Custom Wheels and Lowered Suspension

The upgraded Prius rides on a set of “DDR Series” VERZ Wheels with a five-spoke design and a diameter of 19 inches. These wheels are available in different finishes to suit individual preferences. Additionally, the height-adjustable coilovers by BLITZ allow owners to adjust the ride height according to their liking.

Complete Vehicle Package

The showcased example of the Kuhl Racing-tuned Prius is based on the entry-level Toyota Prius 2.0-liter G 2WD trim with a self-charging hybrid powertrain. Kuhl Racing is offering this complete vehicle for sale at a discounted price of ¥3,990,000 ($28,146), which includes installed parts worth ¥1,052,920 ($7,433).

Upcoming Extreme Version at Tokyo Auto Salon 2024

In addition to the current bodykit, Kuhl Racing has announced an even more extreme version of the Toyota Prius that will be unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024. This version will feature wide fender extensions and more prominent aero components, giving it a slammed appearance. Kuhl Racing has released a rendering and development shots of the upcoming build, generating excitement for its debut on January 12.

Joining the Stanced Prius Club

Kuhl Racing’s bodykit is not the first attempt to give the Prius a stanced look. Other Japanese tuners, such as T-Demand and Tom’s Racing, have also presented their modified versions of the Prius. The popularity of these customizations showcases the growing interest in personalizing hybrid vehicles.
