Ken Block’s Electrikhana 2: A Perfect Goodbye with Another Epic Playground | Giga Gears

The Final Gymkhana Film Starring Ken Block: Electrikhana Two

The Hoonigan team has just released the highly anticipated final installment of the Gymkhana film series, titled “Electrikhana Two: One More Playground.” This action-packed film showcases the late Ken Block’s incredible driving skills and is now available to watch on YouTube alongside “Electrikhana Two: The Mexico City Sessions.”

A Thrilling Ride Through Mexico City

Shot on the streets of Mexico City in November 2022, just weeks before Ken Block’s tragic passing, “Electrikhana Two” features the Audi S1 Hoonitron and includes breathtaking scenes filmed at the iconic Plaza de Toros México, the world’s largest bullring.

Modifications for Maximum Performance

Hoonigan has revealed that extensive modifications were made to the S1 Hoonitron after filming the first Electrikhana video in Las Vegas. The engineering team from Audi Sport enhanced the drivetrain to better suit the demands of this high-octane film. One notable upgrade is the implementation of a simulated transmission, allowing for more controlled slides and precise maneuvers with the use of paddle shifters, similar to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N system.

Unleashing Unprecedented Stunts

The simulated transmission enables the S1 Hoonitron to perform standing all-wheel drive burnouts by spinning the front and rear wheels in different directions. Additionally, the car can shift into reverse at any speed, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in a Gymkhana film.

A Cinematic Journey Across Mexico City

In addition to the Plaza de Toros bullring, “Electrikhana Two: One More Playground” takes viewers on a thrilling ride through various iconic locations in Mexico City, including the Museo Soumaya and a mesmerizing drifting session in and around the Benito Juárez International Airport.
