Introduction

KG Mobility, formerly known as SsangYong, has introduced the new Actyon SUV in Korea, expanding its SUV lineup. The Actyon is described as a coupe SUV and is based on the underpinnings of the Torres.

Modern Styling

The new generation of the Actyon features a more modern and less divisive styling compared to its predecessor. It takes design inspiration from the KG Mobility Torres and the Range Rover Velar.

Shared Underpinnings

The Actyon shares its underpinnings with the Torres, including the turbocharged 1.5-liter engine.

Specifications

The KG Mobility Actyon measures 4,740 mm (186.6 inches) in length, 1,920 mm (75.6 inches) in width, and 1,680 mm (66.1 inches) in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,680 mm (105.5 inches). The SUV offers ample space for passengers and luggage, with a rear headroom and a 668 lt (23.6 cubic feet) boot that can expand to 1,568 lt (55.4 cubic feet) when the second row of seats is folded.

Interior Features

The Actyon’s interior features a digital cockpit with dual 12.3-inch displays. The infotainment touchscreen is slightly tilted towards the driver. The upholstery options include quilted leather with suede inserts in Black and Red or Camel and Beige two-tone shades. The SUV also comes with 32-color ambient lighting, a flat-bottom steering wheel with integrated controls, a wireless charging pad, and a crystal toggle-style gear shift lever. It is equipped with various advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).

Powertrain

The KG Mobility Actyon is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter GDi four-cylinder gasoline engine, producing 168 hp (125 kW / 170 PS) and 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic gearbox and is available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. There is a possibility of introducing fully electric variants in the future, utilizing the electric powertrain from the Torres EVX.

Pricing and Availability

The KG Mobility Actyon is priced between ₩33.95-36.49 million ($24,775-26,629) in South Korea. The SUV will be available in export markets by the end of the year.
