Introducing the KGM Torres EVX: A New Era for Ssangyong Successor’s Debut Electric Vehicle

With the UK car market already bursting at the seams with new brands like BYD, Fisker, Nio, and more, KGM is the latest addition to the mix. However, KGM has a familiar history as the successor to Ssangyong, a brand that has been selling cars in the UK for two decades. The new owners of KGM are determined to take the brand mainstream and increase global volumes to 320,000 by 2026.

To achieve this goal, KGM is launching a range of rugged SUVs with a focus on value and style. The KGM Torres is the first in this lineup, a 4700mm-long family SUV that aims to appeal to a wide range of customers. Following the success of the petrol version, KGM is now introducing the electric EVX model, equipped with a front-mounted motor and a 73.4kWh battery supplied by BYD, the brand’s new technical partner.

The KGM Torres EVX is set to compete with popular electric SUVs like the Skoda Enyaq and Volkswagen ID 4. With its BYD powertrain and outdoorsy styling, this new electric vehicle promises to bring a fresh perspective to the market. Stay tuned for our review of the KGM Torres EVX as we explore its performance and features in detail.
