Koenigsegg Jesko: A Ferocious Hypercar with Unmatched Performance
Unveiling the Koenigsegg Jesko: A Successor to the Agera
At the Geneva Motor Show in 2019, Koenigsegg introduced the world to its latest hypercar, the Jesko. While it shares some visual similarities with its predecessors, the Jesko packs an even greater punch. Top Gear recently had the opportunity to drive this extraordinary machine and discovered its almighty performance.
Ferocious Power and Unmatched Performance
The heart of the Jesko is a 5.1-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces a staggering 1,280 horsepower. When fueled with E85, the power output increases to an astonishing 1,600 horsepower. This immense power is harnessed by Koenigsegg’s in-house nine-speed “Lightspeed” transmission, which delivers lightning-fast gear changes.
Handling and Track Performance
The Jesko is not just about straight-line speed. Its handling capabilities are equally impressive. Testers from Top Gear describe the Jesko as “predictable” with a precise front end. It offers a thrilling driving experience, capable of outperforming many race cars. The Jesko Attack even briefly held the lap record at Laguna Seca, showcasing its exceptional track performance.
Limited Availability
Only 125 lucky individuals will have the opportunity to own a Jesko. Koenigsegg hypercars are highly exclusive and sell out quickly. Driving one of the world’s most expensive and sought-after hypercars is a rare privilege.
