Lexus Teases Next-Gen GX SUV

Lexus Teases Boxier Design for 2024 GX SUV

Lexus has been teasing the public with glimpses of its forthcoming 2024 GX SUV, and it seems that the automaker is going for a boxier design that balances ruggedness with luxury. The initial teasers looked aggressive, but the latest image offers a better sense of the vehicle that’s set to debut next month. The design is boxy with straight lines separating body panels, which is fitting for an off-road vehicle. However, it remains to be seen how the GX will perform on the road.

The teaser also shows that the model comes with a full-width taillight, a lot of glass, and an upright D-pillar. While it looks good from the rear, there are concerns that Lexus might go overboard with another oversized plastic grille. While this is a matter of taste, it doesn’t necessarily evoke the premium luxury that Lexus is known for.

Despite this, it’s best not to judge the final product until it’s actually seen. Lexus’ official debut for the next-generation GX takes place on June 8th, and we’ll have to wait and see if the automaker has struck the right balance between ruggedness and luxury.
